The 12th Annual Doggie Dip - will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 6:30-8 pm.
What is the Doggie Dip?
On Labor Day, Cool Waters closes for the “human swimming season,”but before it is drained for the year, it will reopen at 6:30 p.m. for the 11th Annual Doggie Dip. The event is cosponsored by Residents for Off-Leash Milwaukee Parks (ROMP) and the Milwaukee County Parks.
Whether fearless about diving for tennis balls or wearing a personal flotation device, dogs of all abilities, breeds, and sizes are welcome to come for a swim in the pool.
Location: Cool Waters in Greenfield Park | 2028 S. 124th St.
Admission: $5 per dog
Due to the popularity of the Doggie Dip, advance-admission wrist bands will be on sale the day before the event, Sun., Sept. 4, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. The wristband will allow the patron and dog to enter the pool without waiting in the admissions line.
At the event, patrons may also purchase 2015 Dog Exercise Area permits at a special price. The permit is good through Dec. 31. For one dog, regardless of the patron’s residency, the price will be $10. License and rabies-tag numbers are required for each of the dogs to be permitted.
